Rowlands Gill fundraiser ... have a look at the pics
Everyone present had a wonderful evening, which I'm sure you could detect from their reaction to your very varied and enjoyable set. From now on, no longer will the word 'ukulele' automatically be associated with the late George Formby! So successful was the evening that I am sure you will be glad to know that we raised £450.

St Bart's, Longbenton Community College fundraiser ... have a look at the pics
Just wanted to say a big thank you for the fantastic night you gave us. The music, the songs, the jokes - it all worked so well to give everyone an enjoyable night. We have been able to raise nearly £700 for Longbenton Community College music department. Personally I find it very rewarding to have been involved in raising money that will help bring young people into the wonderful world of music that gives us all so much pleasure.

St Oswald's Hospice
Thank you for choosing to support St Oswald's by very kindly donating the proceeds raised by the Ukulele Allstars to Hospice funds. We raised the brilliant sum of £225.05. Please extend my sincere thanks to everyone who helped to make the event such a success. Without the ongoing support of donors like you we simply could not continue to provide care. So on behalf of everyone who benefits from the work of St Oswald's - thank you. We are truly grateful.

Winnie's 90th birthday ... have a look at the pics
Just writing to say what a fab gig at Winnie's Surprise 90th Birthday Party. What a fantastic party, all down to a fantastic band! Everyone had a great time...from the 4 month old who was fascinated with the sound of the ukes... to the 90 year old who danced her socks off. The Ukulele Allstars crossed all age barriers and embraced them all. George's comical Geordie banter had us all in stitches too. Mind you didn't supply us with tissues for all the tears of laughter! Thank you for such a great night. Everyone had a fabulous time - Sylvia Sprot

My husband and I were at the party at forest hall constitutional & unionist club. It is the firsrt time i have seen the Ukulele allstars and we enjoyed ourselves so much watching the band and listening to George's jokes. My Aunt who is profoundly deaf got a nice surprise when George signed hello to her. Well worth going to see this band - BRILL - partygoer Ann

Cancer Research UK fundraiser
Many thanks for the incredible performance at the concert on the 3rd of feb.  We raised around £2313 so I was over the moon with that result.

It was brilliant for you all to give up your time to be there and I know everyone enjoyed your performance.  The number of people who came up to me afterwards and said how much they had enjoyed your music but also they said they found you very funny.  So once again thank you very much.

Matt's party ... have a look at the pics
Thanks george, you were fantastic and everyone enjoyed your music. The older guests would have preferred to stick with you all night... Matt definitely enjoyed his party so thanks very much for that.

Harley Davidson heart and soul rally ... have a look at the pics
... The comments made by the audience pretty much said it all. Returning to the Silver Ring I overheard someone leaving the bar: “Ukulele F***ing Allstars, f***ing brilliant, f***ing s**te hot”! I later spoke with a Chapter Committee Member, who shall remain nameless: “What do you think of them?” I asked. “F***ing brilliant, I had my doubts when you booked them, but f***ing marvellous”! At the end of the Saturday evening set a fellow Geordie Chapter member shook my hand and said: “Well done Dave, an inspired booking if ever there was one. They were tremendous!”

North Tyneside Disability Forum
Many thanks for rounding up so many people on Friday last. If you are happy to, we would love to have you play at our Christmas event. Again many thanks.  Please do tell the group how much people enjoyed them.

Those lovely Newcastle Allstars

Just got back from a great trip up to Northumberland and Newcastle, managing to squeeze in some hot uke action along the way...

The high point, though, must be a fine evening spent in the Cumberland Arms with the Newcastle Allstars, playing together the day before their gig in the upstairs music room at the pub. The scene is this: a small room in a pub gradually fills up with uke playing folk, and led by George, strum along and lead renditions of any number of songs, from all eras and in all genres. What a welcoming bunch - it was great to sit back and listen, or pick up the Gibson and thrash along. Dave Tee was niceness itself, we got a lift home afterwards and also got to talk resos and Hawaiian music with a fellow there on the way back.

Big thank you's to the Allstars for some great entertainment and a fine Geordie welcome. Next time I go, I'll drink a little less and practise a little more...

Gateshead Flower Show
Thank you for joining us at the Gateshead Summer Flower Show and for helping to make it an enjoyable occasion for all.

While this year suffered from the weather it did not seem to dampen the spirits of the artists and performers. For the audiences and for the site staff this was truly appreciated. You all helped to make the entertainment at the show a joyful experience.

Please say thank you to all your band members and we look forward to working with you again at some point in the future.

PS The band are fab!

I went with a couple of friends one Sunday afternoon, not knowing what to expect, and I don't recall ever having been treated to an afternoon of ukulele music before. Certainly good fun!

Boathouse, Wylam
I've never seen such laid-back performers - you're all mad... this is what music is all about...
